As Chief Business Officer at KBI Biopharma, Katie Edgar oversees Business Development, Commercial Strategy, Marketing, Corporate Communications, and Business Operations. With more than 20 years of experience in strategic planning, corporate development, legal affairs, and alliance management, Katie is known for building meaningful partnerships that drive innovation and deliver measurable impact. 
 
Prior to her current role, Katie served as Senior Vice President of Corporate Strategy and Alliance Management at KBI. Previously, she spent four years at Novavax, where she built and led the global licensee product portfolio and strategic alliance team, and played a key role in the commercial launch of the company’s COVID-19 vaccine across multiple international markets. Katie is passionate about translating complex strategy into actionable growth opportunities, drawing on a career that spans biopharma, venture capital, mergers & acquisitions, and corporate development—including funding and fundraising initiatives in dynamic growth environments.   
 
Katie holds a Juris Doctor from the University of Maryland School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Maryland.
