The industry overall has seen dramatic increases in the productivity of CHO cells due to rapid improvements in cell culture media and upstream process development, but the use of commercial media has inherent limitations when it comes to media optimization requirements. To overcome these limitations, KBI Biopharma's upstream process development team has created a new, high-productivity CHO cell culture medium developed in collaboration between KBI and JSR Life Sciences. This novel medium enables maximum productivity at scale for the development of various biologics and future biomanufacturing.
